They reviewed county public-health activities and fielded questions from commissioners. The department highlighted recent responses and ongoing programs serving Benzie County residents.
Earlier in the meeting, Emergency Management official Rebecca Hubers gave a related update on planned summer events and emergency-preparedness activities. Hubers said a multi-agency response exercise took place June 14 at Homestead Hills, the Emergency Communications Tower groundbreaking is scheduled for July 16 in Frankfort, and CERT volunteer training will be opened to the public on Aug. 14.
