Roll-call voting recorded Ayes from Commissioners Cunningham, Jeannot, Markey, Roelofs, Sauer and Warsecke; Commissioner Nye voted No.
The action followed a closed-session review of two attorney-client privileged legal opinions, conducted under MCL 15.268(1)(h). County Attorney Matt Nordfjord was invited into the closed session; the substance of the privileged opinions was not disclosed when the board returned to open session at 3:11 p.m.
The motion as recorded in the meeting minutes states the agreement was "as approved previously by Administrator Zeits" and approved "to form by legal counsel." The transcript records no public comment on the employment matter before or after the vote.
The board adjourned at 3:13 p.m.
