Charlevoix County Transportation Authority elects Scott Hankins chair, approves monthly bills

The reorganizational motions were routine. Pat Klooster moved to nominate Hankins as chair; Michael Cunningham seconded the motion, which carried on a roll call vote with three members in favor. Hankins then moved to nominate Klooster as vice chair; Cunningham seconded, and that motion also passed on a roll call vote.
The board voted to keep its regular meetings on the second Tuesday of each month at 9:00 a.m. That motion, offered by Hankins and seconded by Klooster, passed by voice vote.
The authority approved the minutes of its Dec. 9, 2025 meeting as presented after a motion by Klooster and a second from Cunningham. It also approved the December 2025 monthly bills, totaling $2,076.23, on a motion by Cunningham and a second by Klooster; the motion carried on a roll call vote with three members recorded in favor.
The meeting record notes that Manager Gordie Russell and Transportation Coordinator Joe Kroll were not present for their routine reports. No members of the public offered comment. The meeting adjourned at 9:06 a.m.; Kim Garver, Chief Deputy Clerk, submitted the minutes.
