Weed officer and board secretary Merlin Leithold reported the fund balance at about $128,000 before the bills presented that evening; he noted the office had not yet received a final total from the county auditor. Leithold listed bills totaling $47,561.71 and income received that night of $22,137.22. Large items included a chemical invoice from Nutrien Solutions for $44,981.55 and a $700 payment to Lorele Leithold for the Bug Day cater expense. Board salaries shown on the warrant were: Leonard Gerhardt $119.80, Dick Woodbury $80.60, Walker Sabin $118.40 and Justin Vetter $108.60.
Walker Sabin moved to accept the treasurer's report and pay the bills; Dick Woodbury seconded and the motion carried.
On the 2026 budget, Merlin Leithold reviewed the proposal line by line and presented a note from Sarah, the county auditor, stating that the salary line for Leithold must include a 3% increase. The board moved to accept the worked-on budget and forward it to the commissioners for their approval; the motion carried.
The minutes record motions to approve routine reports and forward the budget, but do not record a roll-call vote; each motion is recorded as "M/C" (motion carried). The board set its next regular meeting for July 15, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. MDT at the courthouse in Carson.
