The Western Grant Ambulance District board approved a contract with New Leipzig Ambulance Service at a special meeting on June 25, 2025, in New Leipzig.
Brian Richardson, a board member, moved to approve the contract; Jenna Kilzer, a board member, seconded the motion and the motion carried. The meeting minutes do not record a roll-call vote or the text of the contract; the board did not record any recorded objections in the minutes.
The vote came during a wider package of formation and administrative items. President Keith Payne and other board members reviewed a draft of district bylaws and identified that boundary language still needs work. Secretary/Treasurer Julie Levorsen reported a checking account balance of $5,000.00 and said no bills were presented at the meeting.
No implementation timeline or financial terms of the New Leipzig Ambulance Service contract were included in the minutes. The board set a follow-up special meeting for Sept. 9, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. MDT at the New Leipzig Ambulance meeting room, 18 First St SE, New Leipzig, ND.
The meeting record shows the contract motion carried but does not include the full contract text, vote tally by name, or any assigned follow-up tasks for implementation.
