During the Feb. 4 meeting resident Diane Davis (1129 W. Roanoke Dr., Fitzgerald) used the public-comment period to ask the Board of Commissioners why Union Baptist Church Road and Union Cemetery Road have not been paved. Davis said she is a fourth-generation member of Union Baptist Church, returned to the area three years ago, and noted that several other church roads that previously had dirt surfaces are now paved; she urged the board to add paving for the two roads to the county’s work list.
The minutes record her request but do not indicate a formal staff response, an immediate vote, or a timeline for road work.
