Commission defers Gallagher broker agreement pending attorney revisions; HR updates and closed session held

Duchesne County commissioners on Feb. 17 discussed a consulting agreement that would keep Gallagher as the county’s broker but asked for legal changes before any approval.
Human Resource Director Judy Stevenson presented the proposed agreement with Gallagher and said it was intended to keep Gallagher as the county’s broker. Deputy Attorney Grant Charles raised concerns and offered recommended edits; the commission asked that Charles’ suggested changes be made before approving the contract, and no final action on the agreement was recorded in the minutes.
Stevenson also provided a Human Resources update, listing current open positions: full-time correctional officer; part-time economic development assistant; jail control operator; part-time Roosevelt clerical/DMV position (Monday–Wednesday); and seasonal Event Center and fairgrounds operation attendant. She noted an Employee Appreciation Event scheduled for May 15.
The commission entered a closed session to discuss the character, professional competence, or physical or mental health of an individual and then exited; the minutes record that no action was taken during the closed session.
