At its Aug. 14 meeting the Charlotte County Electoral Board voted to enter an executive (closed) session under Code of Virginia §2.2-3711 to conduct the annual personnel review of the General Registrar.
The motion to convene closed session was adopted by recorded vote; the minutes record the roll call as Baker —ae, Foster —ae, Fane —ae (affirmative recorded votes). After completing the executive session the board returned to open session and carried a certification resolution under Code of Virginia §2.2-3712 that, to the best of each member's knowledge, only matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements were discussed. The certification vote was recorded as Baker aye, Foster aye, Fane aye.
