She announced the candidate filing deadline for the November local election is 7 p.m. June 17, and the filing deadline for a November special election is Aug. 15. The registrar listed offices expected on the November ballot, including Commonwealth's Attorney, Board of Supervisors seats (Phenix, Red Oak/Wylliesburg, Keysville), Keysville School Board seats, and municipal posts in Keysville and the Town of Drakes Branch, including mayor and two council seats.
The board received Booth's written report, which also included a budget synopsis and invoices paid. No formal motion or vote was recorded on the registrar's report itself; the item was presented as routine business.
