Charlotte County Electoral Board reviews early-vote totals, approves clerk motions and office closure

The board voted to close the General Registrar’s office on Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2025. Secretary Aubrey Fane moved the closure; Assistant Chairman Glenwood Foster seconded, and the motion passed without objection. Booth reported that extra training and staffing attention were given to the Drakes Branch and Bacon Saxe polling locations because each site will accommodate two precincts. An additional officer/greeter position was added at those sites to direct voters to the correct check-in table.
No citizens spoke during the public-comment period. Assistant Chairman Glenwood Foster moved to adjourn at about 4:00 p.m.; the motion carried without objection. The board set its next meeting for Thursday, Dec. 11, 2025, at 3 p.m.
