County accepts substantial completion for Law Enforcement Center; estimates $88,682 remaining

John Hansen of Midwest Consultants told the board the Law Enforcement Center project reached substantial completion on Nov. 24, 2025 when the State Jail Inspector accepted the facility, and he presented the corresponding Certificates of Substantial Completion. Hansen said warranties are being collected and he expects final pay requests to be completed in May. He estimated approximately $88,682.00 in unused project funds remaining.
The board approved and signed the Certificate of Substantial Completion documents and later approved the Feb. 16, 2026 pay application in the amount of $30,809.70. Auditor Nita Hinrickson will contact the bonding agent regarding remaining funds, per the minutes.
