Durham County approves $50.39 million bond appropriation and package of consent items

The consent items included budget ordinance amendments recognizing intergovernmental funding for public health and social services, a contract approval for website design services tied to the county’s transit plan dashboard, authorization to amend a contract for SAP development support, and approval of a contract for security glass installation at the county detention center, among other items.
The board approved Budget Ordinance Amendment No. 24BCC00083 to recognize $150,000 from the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Division of Public Health to support women’s health services, and No. 24BCC00082 to recognize $30,000 from Guilford County for public health infrastructure related to COVID‑19 response. It also approved No. 24BCC00084 recognizing $45,734 to assist Social Services with placement needs for children and No. 24BCC00081 recognizing a $1,000 donation to support Men’s Health Council activities.
Board members did not request additional discussion on the majority of consent items. The recorded motions show unanimous approval for the package and for the individual amendments that were presented on the consent list.
