Parma Heights City Council on Sept. 22 authorized the administration to submit an application to the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency (NOACA) for a 2026 Transportation for Livable Communities Initiative (TLCI) implementation grant to fund a corridor project on 130th Street between Smith and Pearl Road.
Clerk Barbara Allen read Resolution No. 2025‑79 into the record. Councilwoman Palmisano moved to suspend the rules so the resolution could be considered immediately, and Councilwoman Maruschak seconded. On the motion for passage the council recorded a unanimous roll‑call vote in favor (Kolezynski, Durichko, Maruschak, Vanek, Palmisano, DeSouza and Rounds).
Mayor Gallo had described the NOACA TLCI application earlier in her reports as part of a package of grant pursuits the city is pursuing for street‑corridor and park improvements. The resolution authorizes the administration to apply for funding and to accept and expend grant proceeds if awarded; it does not guarantee award of funds. Council did not provide further project design details during the meeting.
