Commissioners also approved engineering services contracts with Kent Laza and with Rick Tobolka. The motion to approve the Kent Laza contract was made by Commissioner Dwayne Faust and seconded by Commissioner David Hildebrand; the Tobolka contract was moved by Hildebrand and seconded by Faust. Both motions carried unanimously.
The court appointed three members to the Burleson County Family Resource Commission — Barbara Vincent, Holly Narro and Jodi Olive — after a motion by Commissioner David Hildebrand and a second by Commissioner Robert (Bobby) Urbanosky.
A Hotel/Motel funding application for the Texas Overland Festival was placed on hold after Commissioner Vincent Svec moved to postpone action and Commissioner Dwayne Faust seconded. The item will return to the court at a future meeting for further consideration.
Other routine actions approved included a temporary right-of-way request on County Road 319 and a simplified plat for property owned by Dennis Krueger on County Road 410. Commissioner Hildebrand moved approval of the right-of-way request; Commissioner Robert Urbanosky moved and Commissioner Svec seconded the plat approval.
The court also authorized payment of county bills before adjourning. Commissioner David Hildebrand moved to approve payment of bills and Commissioner Vincent Svec seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
