Butler County board approves Community Project Funding application for Butler Logistics Park wastewater expansion

The Butler County Board of Supervisors voted Feb. 24 to approve an application to Congresswoman Ashley Hinson’s Community Project Funding program to expand the wastewater collection system at Butler Logistics Park.
Resolution #20-2026, moved by Supervisor Wayne Dralle and seconded by Supervisor Rusty Eddy, was approved unanimously. The resolution endorses the Community Project Funding application, designates Tax Increment Financing proceeds as the local match and names the Butler-Grundy Development Alliance as the primary point of contact under an existing 28E agreement.
The resolution text states: “The Community Project Funding application for the expansion of the wastewater collection system at Butler Logistics Park is approved and endorsed by the Board of Supervisors.” The board record shows Katie LaBree of the Butler-Grundy Development Board described the wastewater collection project during the discussion.
County officials said the project is intended to support economic development at Butler Logistics Park by providing expanded wastewater infrastructure. The resolution directs county staff and the named partner organization to execute and submit the application and related documents.
The vote on Resolution #20-2026 was recorded as AYES: Wayne Dralle, Greg Barnett and Rusty Eddy; NAYS: None.
The board also noted that local match funding will come from TIF proceeds and that a 28E agreement is already in place with the Butler-Grundy Development Alliance, which the resolution names as the lead economic development organization for the application.
The supervisors adjourned the meeting at 9:57 a.m.; next regular session is scheduled for March 3, 2026, at 9:00 a.m.
