Jackson County commissioners approve consent calendar, appoint three residents

The Jackson County Board of Commissioners met Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2026, and approved the consent calendar by a 3-0 vote, taking a series of routine appointments and orders listed on the agenda.
Commissioner Colleen Roberts moved to approve the consent calendar; Commissioner Randy Sparacino seconded the motion. Commissioners Roberts, Sparacino and Chair Rick Dyer voted aye and the motion passed.
The items approved included Order No. 51-26, adopting the Jackson County Vector Control District's 2026 Annual Work Program; Order No. 52-26, appointing Philip Reid to the Ambulance Service Quality Assurance Committee; Order No. 53-26, appointing David Heard to the Jackson County Fair Board; and Order No. 54-26, appointing Dan Cano to the Local Alcohol and Drug Planning Committee. The board also authorized the chair to execute quitclaim deeds of mineral interests in favor of Elizabeth Coker (Order No. 55-26) and Maria Kelly, trustee of the McKinley-Kelly Living Trust (Order No. 56-26), and initiated vacation proceedings for a portion of Lampman Road (County Road 1101) under Order No. 57-26.
No members of the public spoke during the non-agenda public comment period, and no public hearings or deliberation items were scheduled. With no further business, Chair Rick Dyer adjourned the meeting at 9:33 a.m. The minutes were subsequently approved and signed; the document shows approval on March 4, 2026.
The actions taken were procedural and part of the board's routine consent process; no substantive discussion or contested votes were recorded during the meeting.
