Ottawa County commissioners approve routine minutes, claims, personnel designations and blanket purchase orders

At its Jan. 20 meeting the Ottawa County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved minutes, vendor claims, purchase card payments of $1,514.63, designated requisitioning and receiving officers for District 2, accepted a sheriff’s commissary financial statement and approved blanket purchase orders #2769–#2798.
The Ottawa County Board of Commissioners on Jan. 20 unanimously approved routine business including minutes, claims, personnel designations and blanket purchase orders.
Commissioner Robert Clark moved to approve the Jan. 12 minutes; Commissioner Scott Hilton seconded and the board recorded a unanimous vote (Hilton, Clark, Furnas: aye). The board then approved a multi-fund claims list covering general, health, highway and other county funds as presented on the agenda; no individual claim was pulled for discussion.
The board approved purchase card claims and payment totaling $1,514.63 on a motion by Clark and second by Hilton, and accepted the submitted financial statement for the sheriff’s commissary fund by the same vote pattern. Commissioners also designated Robert Clark and Brian Scott as requisitioning officers and Paul Hoover and Gretta Day as receiving officers for Ottawa County District #2; District 2 introduced Gretta Day as a new district secretary during the activity reports.
Finally, the board approved blanket purchase orders numbered #2769 through #2798 and then adjourned. All motions during the meeting were recorded as passing unanimously. The meeting notice had been posted at the south door of the Ottawa County Courthouse on Jan. 14, 2026; minutes were signed by Chairman Mike Furnas and County Clerk Robyn Mitchell.
