Fiscal Court approves sheriff equipment reimbursement and rehiring of animal-control officer

The court also approved the rehiring of Victoria Shelburne as the animal control officer at $16 per hour, contingent on a successful background check and drug screen. The motion to hire Shelburne was made by Esq. Brewer, seconded by Esq. Beaverson, and passed with all members present voting "aye." The animal-control tire-quote item for the recycling center was tabled pending additional quotes.
The court’s approvals were recorded in the meeting packet and will be reflected in personnel and procurement records maintained by county administration.
