Franklin County Fiscal Court unanimously approves sewer easement, road addition, grant application and two hires

At its Jan. 18 meeting, the Franklin County Fiscal Court approved Resolution #1-2023 for a sanitary sewer easement, accepted Antler Ridge Drive into the county road system, authorized a bridge abutment bid advertisement, authorized an Assistance to Firefighters Grant application for protective gear, approved lease financing paperwork and hired a grant writer and chief electrical inspector.
Franklin County Judge/Executive Michael Mueller and the Fiscal Court on Jan. 18 unanimously approved a package of routine infrastructure and personnel actions, including a sanitary sewer easement, road acceptance, bid advertising for bridge repairs, a fire department grant application and two county hires.
The court approved Resolution #1-2023 to create a permanent sanitary sewer easement to extend a new sewer main on the Duckers property. Squire J.W. Blackburn moved the resolution and Squire Eric Whisman seconded; the motion carried with Squires Sherry Sebastian, J.W. Blackburn, Eric Whisman, Kelly Dycus, Richard Tanner, Scotty Tracy and Judge Michael Mueller voting in favor.
The court also adopted Resolution #3-2023, accepting Antler Ridge Drive into the Franklin County road system. Squire Richard Tanner moved the resolution; Squire Whisman seconded and the measure passed unanimously.
