Fleming County approves vehicle donations and purchase, hears Pacific Avenue repair estimate and makes two appointments

The donated vehicles were listed as a 2010 Ford Explorer (VIN 1FMEU7DE5AUA05659) and a 2011 Ford F150 (VIN 1FTFW1EFXBKD18663).
The court also accepted a revised bid and approved purchasing a used 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe (VIN 1GNSKAKCXKR161235) from Cheap's Chevrolet for $39,420, after negotiating a lower price than the July 21 bid that exceeded the court's budget.
Residents of Pacific Avenue raised ongoing concerns about the road condition and drainage; Judge/Executive Larry H. Foxworthy, County Road Supervisor Anthony Vise and Magistrate Donnie Fawns inspected the site and estimated that properly repairing drainage and the roadway could exceed $100,000. A property owner requested a written estimate be emailed when available.
The court approved appointments including Jana Hunt to fill a vacancy on the Fox Valley Recreation Park Board through Feb. 17, 2023, and confirmed the appointment of Madonna McElfresh as Administrative Assistant effective Aug. 9, 2021 at $10.50 per hour under a 90-day probationary period. The court also accepted routine reports from EMS, the sheriff and the jailer and recorded dispatch reported 468 requests for service in July 2021.
