Fleming County Fiscal Court voted unanimously Dec. 14 to award two three-year janitorial contracts to Jody Gray.
One sealed bid was received. The bid listed $69,638.00 annually for janitorial services at the judicial center and $28,880.00 annually for services at the courthouse and maintenance garage for the contract term Jan. 1, 2022, through Dec. 31, 2024. The court’s award for the judicial center is contingent on acceptance by the AOC, as recorded in the minutes.
Magistrate Richie Kielman moved to award the judicial center contract; Magistrate Chris Hickerson seconded. The motion passed unanimously. Kielman also moved to award the courthouse/maintenance garage contract, seconded by Hickerson; that motion likewise passed unanimously.
The court’s minutes do not record any competing bids or a detailed evaluation; they record the single sealed bid and the unanimous approvals. Contracts will proceed pending the AOC’s acceptance for the judicial center award.
