Fleming County Fiscal Court unanimously approves budgets, appointments and Ky 911 grant application

At its Jan. 11 meeting the Fleming County Fiscal Court approved a budget amendment and 2022 salary orders, appointed and reappointed members to the Fox Valley Recreation Park Board, authorized a Kentucky 911 grant application and accepted the treasurer’s Dec. 31 financial report showing $3.58 million in total funds.
County Judge/Executive Larry H. Foxworthy called the Fleming County Fiscal Court to order at 9:00 a.m. Jan. 11 at the Fleming County Courthouse. The court recorded five magistrates present and one absent.
The court approved a slate of routine administrative and fiscal items by unanimous recorded votes. County Treasurer Kathy Dryden presented the month-end and quarter financial reports for Dec. 31, 2021 showing total-all-funds of $3,580,958.08 and fund balances including General Fund $1,708,012.67, ARPA Fund $884,368.01, and Dispatch Fund $343,861.73; the court approved the reports.
Officials approved the second reading and passage of Ordinance 21-1351, a budget amendment, and adopted the 2022 County Salary Order. The court also approved the County Clerk’s 2022 budget and annual salary order and accepted the clerk’s Dec. 31 month-ending report (the clerk’s quarterly report was not available for this meeting). The Dec. 2021 County Road Maintenance Report totaling $200,131.14 was approved.
The court appointed Toni Shields and reappointed Shannon Himes to the Fox Valley Recreation Park Board for terms running Feb. 9, 2022–Feb. 9, 2025, and temporarily appointed Mark Smith to serve as assistant coroner during the absence of Rob Applegate.
Fiscal Court members authorized submission of a 2022 grant application to the Kentucky 911 Services Board by approving Resolution 22-1352 and gave the County Judge/Executive authority to sign related documents. The Fleming County Sheriff’s month-ending report and the Fleming County Ambulance Service monthly report were distributed and accepted as noted in the minutes.
Personnel business included approval of an hourly rate of $18.94 for Justin Gray. The court also approved claims and carry-in claims reports and the 2022 holiday schedule.
