Fleming County accepts ID Networks bid for dispatch CAD contingent on grant, boosts pay and hires part-time telecommunicator

The Fleming County Fiscal Court on March 8 accepted a sealed bid from ID Networks for a new dispatch computer-aided dispatch (CAD) system at $153,870, contingent on approval of a Kentucky 911 Services Board grant.
Dispatch Director Charlotte Benton told the court one sealed bid was received and noted that the $17,250 mobile CAD portion cannot be included in the 2022 KY 911 grant application. The court accepted the bid contingent on the grant and approved a separate purchase of the mobile CAD if grant funding is subsequently awarded.
The court also approved personnel changes for the dispatch center, including increasing the entry-level telecommunicator starting wage to $12.00 per hour and hiring Adam Ray as a part-time telecommunicator and IT support for the dispatch center. The pay increase and hiring were approved during the meeting and recorded in the minutes.
Next steps recorded by the court include submitting any necessary grant paperwork for KY 911 funding and completing procurement or purchase actions contingent on grant award. Adjustments to payroll and onboarding tasks for the new hire were assigned to dispatch and county human-resources staff.
