Pittsburg County approves ODOT lease, $160,000 equipment claim and chip‑spreader purchase; awards fire equipment bid

Commissioner Charlie Rogers moved to approve the agreement; Selman seconded and the motion passed 3-0.
Commissioners also approved Form 324A in the amount of $160,000 for a cab tractor and mower to be paid through the ODOT County Road Machinery and Equipment Revolving Fund as part of lease No. 611054. The Form 324A included an assignment instruction naming Stewart Martin Equipment as the payee.
Separately, the board approved a purchase contract to acquire one used chip-spreader. The purchase-contract document in the meeting packet lists a 2004 Etnyre 12x24 chip-spreader sold by The G.W. Van Keppel Company, bid No. 26-011, for $356,000; the commissioners approved the contract as presented.
On procurement for local fire service, the board awarded Bid No. 12 — for a new wildland bed to be built and installed on a 2025 Ford F-550 provided by the county fire department — to Redline Fire Equipment after Arrowhead Estates Volunteer Fire Department requested the award. Chairman Ross Selman read the request and moved to award the bid; the motion passed unanimously.
All motions on these items were recorded as unanimous (AYE: Ross Selman, Mike Haynes, Charlie Rogers). No public comment on the equipment purchases or bids was recorded during the special meeting.
