Pittsburg County awards pumper apparatus bid to Brindlee Mountain after local VFD requests acceptance

The Arrowhead Estates VFD letter, signed by Chief Darren Bartlett, said the department "accept the terms of finance 225,000$ trade in for 2020 mini rescue pumper and 100,000 $ down from our account and finance the remaining balance of 93.065.00 for the period of five years and payment amount of 1,741.37 a month." The letter was presented during the unfinished business portion of the meeting.
The board took the vote after Selman read the VFD's request and the motion was seconded and approved on the record. The minutes do not record a competing bidder or further discussion of specs, financing paperwork or vendor selection criteria at the Jan. 12 meeting.
