The Pittsburg County Economic Development Authority met Dec. 29, 2025, and unanimously approved the meeting agenda, the minutes of the Dec. 22, 2025 meeting and the acknowledgement of claims and fiscal transactions.
Chairman Charlie Rogers called the meeting to order at 10:30 a.m. in the County Commissioners Conference Room at the Pittsburg County Courthouse in McAlester. Ross Selman, vice‑chairman, moved to approve the agenda; Mike Haynes seconded. The authority voted aye: Charlie Rogers, Ross Selman and Mike Haynes.
During the meeting the trustees also approved the minutes from the Dec. 22, 2025 regular meeting. Ross Selman moved to approve the minutes; Charlie Rogers seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The board then moved to acknowledge all claims and fiscal transactions previously issued by the Economic Development Authority and approved by the Board of County Commissioners; Selman moved, Rogers seconded, and the vote was unanimous.
Under new business, Chairman Charlie Rogers said the county racetrack needs a second turnaround to lengthen the course and allow vehicles more distance to slow down. The transcript records the comment as a statement of need; no motion, study directive, funding request or schedule for follow‑up was recorded.
Rogers then moved to adjourn; Ross Selman seconded and the meeting was adjourned by unanimous vote.
