The Pittsburg County Economic Development Authority on Dec. 15 approved a cooperative agreement between the Southeast Expo Center and River City Promotions to host a mixed martial arts event on Feb. 7, 2026.
Chairman Charlie Rogers moved to approve the agreement; Trustee Mike Haynes seconded the motion, and trustees voted unanimously in favor (Charlie Rogers, Ross Selman, Mike Haynes voting aye). The agreement was listed on the board’s posted agenda and recorded in the minutes as approved.
At the same meeting the board also approved routine meeting minutes from Dec. 8, 2025, and acknowledged claims and fiscal transactions issued by the Economic Development Authority and approved by the Board of County Commissioners. The meeting record includes a posted purchase-order list for the Economic Development Trust/Expo maintenance and operations showing a combined total of $2,617.20 for vendors including H20 Depot, Lowes, AT&T Mobility, Summit Utilities Oklahoma Inc., WAV 11 Tech Services, contracted labor entries, Fifth Quarter Printing and Embroidery, Herringshaw Waste Management, and Atwoods.
The approvals were handled by voice votes recorded in the minutes; no dissenting votes were recorded. The cooperative-agreement approval clears the way for the Expo Center to host the Feb. 7 event under the terms the agreement establishes (the minutes record approval but do not include the agreement text or financial terms).
