Pittsburg County EDA approves 2026 meeting schedule and acknowledges fiscal claims

The Pittsburg County Economic Development Authority met Dec. 8, 2025, in the County Commissioners Conference Room in McAlester and unanimously approved its 2026 schedule of meetings and acknowledged claims and fiscal transactions.
Chairman Charlie Rogers called the meeting to order at 10:30 a.m. Roll call showed Trustees Charlie Rogers, Ross Selman and Mike Haynes present. Ross Selman moved to approve the agenda; Rogers seconded and the board voted 3-0 to adopt it.
The board reviewed minutes from the Dec. 1, 2025 regular meeting. Charlie Rogers moved to approve the minutes; Mike Haynes seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
Under claims and fiscal transactions, the board acknowledged and approved the claims that had been issued by the Economic Development Authority and approved by the Board of County Commissioners. Rogers moved to approve the claims and fiscal transactions; Selman seconded and the board voted 3-0 in favor. The ledger of purchase orders and vendor claims for Dec. 8 lists a grand total of $15,392.54, including charges to vendors such as Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co., Jamesco Enterprises LLC, Bank of America (lodging, kitchen supplies and phone minutes), and multiple utility and service providers.
With no unfinished business reported, the board considered and approved the 2026 schedule of meetings. Rogers moved to approve the schedule; Selman seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
No items were raised under new business that could not have been foreseen at the time of the agenda posting. Rogers moved to adjourn; Selman seconded and the meeting was adjourned by a 3-0 vote.
The agenda for the meeting cited the Oklahoma Open Meeting Act (25 O.S. Sec. 301, et seq.) and the meeting was held after proper notice and posting.
