Pittsburg County commissioners voted Dec. 8 to award a $25,900 contract to Bailey Little Construction to construct and install a security counter and glass partition in the Pittsburg County Assessor's Office.
County Clerk Hope Trammell and staff solicited quotes; the county reported difficulty finding bidders and received a single written quote from Bailey Little Construction. Cathy Ridenour explained the need for a secure counter to the board and detailed features including a 36-inch-high counter to meet accessibility needs, glass dividers, an electronic keycode lock for one office door and dedicated electrical circuits for staff workstations. The submitted bid itemized door/glass installation, electrician work, materials and labor.
Chairman Charlie Rogers moved to award the contract to Bailey Little Construction and the motion passed unanimously. The board's packet includes the vendor's written quote and an affidavit certifying the bidder's submission.
The project will be installed and paid from county funds following standard procurement procedures; contract management and payment will be handled by the county clerk's office as part of the Purchasing/Facilities process.
