Pittsburg County commissioners approved a planned service agreement with Johnson Controls Fire Protection LP on Nov. 24 to provide annual testing and inspections of portable fire extinguishers and the facility’s fire-alarm system at the Pittsburg County Animal Shelter.
The one-year agreement listed in the meeting record carries a contract value of $2,182 for the service period Feb. 1, 2026 through Jan. 31, 2027. The company’s proposal states initial inspections may be performed within 45 days of the effective date, and replacement parts or recharges beyond the inspection scope would be billed in addition to the contract price.
