The Colfax County Lodger's Tax Advisory Board approved multiple funding requests and elected new officers during a brief meeting on June 3, 2024.
The board, which listed Tina Colangelo, Laurie Bunker, Michael Brown, Angel Cambell and Shelly Quartieri as present, opened the session at 9:08 a.m. and first approved the meeting agenda and the minutes from its May 6 meeting after motions from board members.
On funding, the board approved a non-promotional request from the Center for Community Innovation for a project called "The Wild Divide". Laurie Bunker, a board member, moved to approve the non-promotional funding request; Michael Brown seconded, and the motion passed by unanimous voice vote. The board also approved both promotional and non-promotional funding related to the Colfax Tavern R2R Kickoff Party. Laurie Bunker moved to approve the promotional request "subject to revision," with Angel Cambell recorded as the seconder; the motion was recorded as approved.
