At its Sept. 19 meeting, the Dickson County Commission handled routine business including approval of prior minutes, appointments and administrative approvals.
Commissioner Carl Buckner moved and Commissioner Rusty Grove seconded approval of the Aug. 15, 2022 county commission minutes; the motion passed by unanimous aye voice vote. In appointments, Commissioner Dwight McIllwain moved and Commissioner Jody Britt seconded to appoint Chuck Boyd, Tiffany Dawson and Tony Adams to the county E911 Board; the motion passed unanimously.
Under new business, Commissioner Becky Spicer moved and Commissioner Cindi Gray seconded for the Highway Department and the Sheriff’s Department to study the proper speed limit on Hogan Road beginning off Sanker Road; the motion passed unanimously and was recorded as a study directive rather than an immediate change to posted limits.
The commission approved a list of submitted notaries by motion of Commissioner Cindi Gray, seconded by Commissioner Rusty Grove, and set its next regular session for Monday, Oct. 17, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
