Kingston administrator to submit $977,130 LSA grant for DPW renovation

Administrator Sondra Riviello told the Town Council on Nov. 17 that the town intends to apply for a statewide Local Share Account (LSA) grant to fund a Department of Public Works renovation project.
Riviello said Resolution 2025-26 authorizes submission of the grant application for $977,130 to address needed work on the DPW garage and the town's salt shed. She described the garage as largely unheated; the transcript records that "90% does not have heat," which the council characterized as evidence of the project's urgency. Councilmember Kate McMahon will submit the application on behalf of the Town of Kingston.
Rob Jacobs thanked McMahon for her assistance with the grant application during the session. No formal vote to accept funding or award a contract occurred during the work session; Resolution 2025-26 was presented as authorization to apply.
