Council members voted unanimously Wednesday to advertise the borough’s proposed 2026 budget and to approve a settlement with ICGM Group resolving the HVAC Contract 2025-05M tied to the renovation at 219 E. Main Street.
Manager Novinger asked the council to change the budget action wording from “approve” to “advertise,” saying the record should reflect that the document is being posted for public review rather than adopted at this meeting. Councilman Buhrig moved to advertise the 2026 Proposed Budget; Councilman Bucher seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Council also approved a settlement agreement with ICGM Group for the HVAC work on the 219 E. Main Street renovation. Councilwoman Martin moved the settlement; Councilwoman Agerton seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The council cleared a consent agenda that included approval of the minutes of the Nov. 18, 2025 meeting; Resolution 21-2025 honoring Sue Erdman; Resolution 22-2025 honoring the Halloween Parade Committee; the Sunshine Notice for 2026; the 2026 staff training and office-closure schedule; termination of employment of Micaela Baer as Codes Permitting Specialist effective Nov. 19, 2025; and approval of the Codes Administrative Specialist position description. Councilman Bucher moved to approve the listed consent items; Councilwoman Agerton seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Buhrig publicly thanked Vice President Anthony for his efforts during the 2026 budget process. The meeting adjourned at 7:39 p.m.
