Mercer County approves Cabin Site #2 special assessment district, routine procurement and bills totaling $111,084

The commission established the Cabin Site #2 Special Assessment District after holding a public hearing at which no comments were heard. The commission approved emergency-management coverage to be handled by the sheriff while HR/EM Director Alice Grinsteinner is on vacation and approved human-resources coverage by the states attorney for that week.
Treasurer Dawn Grannis’s duplicate check request for check #55194 ($295.55) was approved, and the commission approved the purchase of Tyler payment software to enable credit-card payments (quoted cost recorded in minutes). Assistant Highway Superintendent Dennis Olheiser and staff presented the Notice to Bidders for the annual bid letting and the Cutback Asphalt Purchase Agreement; the notice and a purchase of road oil for crack sealing were approved. The commission approved the Sheriff’s January revenues ($46,716.09), the Recorder’s NDRIN refund ($4,570.50) and Recorder January revenues ($4,612.00). The commission approved an application for a liquor license for Nana’s Kitchen.
The commission approved payment of bills totaling $111,084.02; the minutes list vendors and amounts. The meeting recessed at 10:49 a.m., reconvened at 10:55 a.m., and adjourned at 11:21 a.m. The next regular meeting is scheduled for March 3, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. in the Mercer County Government Center boardroom in Stanton; meetings stream on the county YouTube channel.
