The Charlevoix County Planning Commission reviewed proposed text amendments to Boyne Valley Township’s zoning ordinance and voted to support the township Planning Commission’s recommendation.
Staff highlighted the principal changes: reducing the maximum allowable height for accessory buildings (including those allowed as a principal use) from 35 feet to 28 feet, relocating footnote (d) text into specific sections, relettering subsequent footnotes and updating references, and correcting a cross-reference from Section 2.03 (G) to Section 2.02. Staff had no substantive objections beyond those editorial corrections.
Commissioner P. Grassmick moved to support the township recommendation and forward the staff report for the township’s consideration; M. Cunningham seconded. The motion passed by voice vote with all present in favor.
