Canton approves multiple culvert contracts and CDBG administration agreement

Interim Manager Stinnett presented McGill’s recommendation to award the Skyline Drive, Rhoda Street and Meadowbrook culvert package to Hyatt Pipeline LLC; Alderwoman Proctor moved to accept the bid award, Alderwoman Mull seconded, and the motion passed unanimously. Later the board accepted the Charles Street Culvert Project bid award to Hyatt Pipeline LLC on a motion by Alderwoman Mull, seconded by Alderman Shephard, which also passed unanimously.
The board also approved a Southwestern Commission technical service contract to administer the town’s CDBG Neighborhood Revitalization Program grant for a fee of $20,000. Alderman Hamlett moved to approve the contract, Alderwoman Mull seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.
During discussion Interim Manager Stinnett noted the projects were recommended by the town’s consultant (McGill) and presented the formal bid-award paperwork; no amendments to the bid recommendations were proposed during the meeting.
