Dubois County accepts low bids for H.E.L.P. owner-occupied rehabilitation homes
Summary
Following an 8:45 a.m. bid opening, the commissioners accepted the low bids for multiple homes under the H.E.L.P. Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation Program and instructed the regional planning commission to prepare contracts; one bidder was ruled incomplete.
At the Dec. 2 meeting the commissioners opened and reviewed bids for the H.E.L.P. Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation Program. Jenny Matheis of the Indiana 15 Regional Planning Commission was in attendance when roofing and rehabilitation bids were read aloud for multiple homeowners.
The board found John Collins Contracting’s bids incomplete for the reviewed homes. After considering the bids, the commissioners accepted the low bid for each home as recommended (primarily T&T Roofing and Gogel Roofing for the homes listed). The motion to accept the low bids carried unanimously. Matheis was instructed to prepare contracts for each awarded home, and Commissioner Chad A. Blessinger will sign the contracts on behalf of the county.
The transcript records the awarded amounts for each homeowner and contractor as read at the bid opening; additional contract details and scope of work will be prepared by the Regional Planning Commission prior to execution.
