Commissioners approve recorder disaster recovery, employee assistance and training contracts; several approvals contingent on edits or funding

At the Nov. 18 Dubois County commissioners meeting, several administrative contracts were approved or advanced.

Recorder Jaclyn McPherron presented a Computer Systems, Inc. (CSI) Disaster Recovery Agreement for the Recorder’s Office for the term Jan. 1–Dec. 31, 2025 at a cost of $886.60; a motion to approve the agreement was made, seconded and carried unanimously and McPherron was authorized to sign on behalf of the county.

Community Corrections Director Wyatt Madden presented a three-year contract with Relias Training for online training for Community Corrections staff. Commissioners approved the contract contingent on inserting required county language and obtaining funding approval from County Council; Madden was authorized to sign the contract on behalf of the county pending those conditions.

The board also approved the LifeSpring Health Systems Employee Assistance Program for county employees and dependents for 2025 at a cost of $1.85 per employee per month. Auditor Sandra L. Morton reported that a new five-year postage machine lease with Pitney Bowes has been completed; the quarterly cost will be $865.68 beginning March 2025 and delivery of the new machine is forthcoming.

Commissioners reviewed a Request for Proposal to replace the courthouse temperature control system and agreed to forward the project to County Council for further action. They also discussed prior courthouse security proposals and reached consensus not to proceed with the Astro Security portion of the quoted work at this time.
