Two members of the public raised concerns during the commissioners’ public comment period on Aug. 19.
Debra Utterback said she was concerned about a display representing stages of pregnancy that she saw on the Courthouse lawn on Aug. 3 during Strassenfest; the display was part of the Trotter House – Lifeline Family Center booth and Utterback said she found it inappropriate for a family festival.
Dave Schroeder complained about excessive oil spread on County Road 820 East. Schroeder said he filed a claim with the county’s insurance provider, GIE, but that the claim was denied. The minutes record the complaints but do not show follow-up action taken at the meeting.
No formal remedial actions or staff directives were recorded in response to these public comments during the session.
