Commissioners approve variance allowing a residence on JJK Farm parcel

The Dubois County Commissioners on June 17 approved a variance to allow a single-family residence on an adjoining parcel associated with JJK Farm, LLC.
Bill Kaiser, representing Brandan and Tandra Brosmer, presented two options to the board. Under the approved Proposal A, the Brosmers would create a new buildable parcel based on a residence tract constructed prior to 2004 that qualifies for the existing home exemption. Their son would purchase the 2004 exemption tract and the adjacent parcel and would construct a single-family residence; the family agreed to a commitment limiting the parcels to a single-family dwelling. A legal easement is required for ingress and egress.
The board voted to approve Proposal A; the motion was seconded and carried. Commissioners recorded no additional conditions beyond the easement requirement and the single-family commitment. The decision applies to property located in Hall Township and references the Warranty Deed recorded as Instrument No. 2021003903.
