The Fulton County Board of Commissioners on Feb. 10 approved a Sub‑Agreement with the Fulton County Food Basket, Inc. that designates the Food Basket as the county’s administrator for the State Food Purchase Program (SFPP).
Food Basket Director Sue Cubbage told commissioners that because state SFPP funds now arrive directly to the county rather than to the Food Basket, the county must name an administrator by Sub‑Agreement. The commissioners reviewed the proposed arrangement with Fiscal Administrator Sue Reed before voting.
Commissioner Randy H. Bunch moved to approve and execute the Sub‑Agreement between the County of Fulton and the Fulton County Food Basket, Inc. for administration of the SFPP; the motion carried unanimously among the three commissioners present.
The minutes do not record further detail about the Sub‑Agreement’s administrative responsibilities, reporting requirements or the precise funding amounts passed through the county to the Food Basket. Officials did not record any opposing remarks. The board’s action delegates program administration to the Food Basket under terms the county will execute in the approved agreement.
