The board approved the minutes of the Aug. 19 meeting after a motion by Director Gary Meyer and a second by Director Harold Gaugler. The August 2024 financial report was then reviewed and approved on a motion by Gaugler, seconded by Meyer.
The board reviewed and approved payment of bills totaling $3,697.93. Itemized payees included Southwest Water Authority (Raleigh & Sheep Creek) for $117.13; Mor Gran Sou (Raleigh & Sheep Creek) $350.25; Lince Sanitation (May service) $611.22; Elgin True Value (supplies) $22.99; Andrew Kuntz (September Raleigh) $250.00; Wayne Iszler (September Sheep Creek) $312.50; Southwest Grain (chemical) $527.97; Levorsen Accounting & Tax, PC (rent) $50.00; and pay vouchers totaling $1,455.87.
On recreation and facilities, the board noted recent damage to fire rings and garbage cans at Raleigh Reservoir and discussed options to repair or replace those items to maintain the site for public use. At Sheep Creek, members reviewed staining and sandbox updates and scheduled picnic table repairs to address wear and safety concerns.
Directors reviewed materials from recent Missouri River Joint Water Board meetings for informational purposes. Director Harold Gaugler provided a verbal report on a Water Users meeting he attended; no formal directive or vote followed from that report.
After reviewing correspondence, Director Harold Gaugler moved to adjourn; Director Gary Meyer seconded and the motion carried. Julie Levorsen, Secretary/Treasurer, signed the meeting record.
The board took no additional formal actions at the meeting. There was no vote tally recorded in the minutes beyond motions carrying.
