Tax Commissioner Roger Collins outlined two resolutions that were added to the regular-meeting agenda: Resolution 2024-34 would delegate authority to the Tax Commissioner to waive certain penalties and interest (the delegation is based on O.C.G.A. 48-5-242) and Resolution 2024-35 would authorize acceptance of tax payments in forms other than cash; both were described as effective Jan. 1, 2025 and are renewed each term.
