Commission directs HR to research creating Finance Director position for Beverly York

Chairman Elmer Thrift told fellow commissioners he would like to see Finance Supervisor Beverly York appointed Finance Director and asked HR to look into the position requirements.
Commissioner Leonard Burse said he had previously inquired and had expected York was already the Finance Director. HR Director Theresa Young told the commission there is not currently a Finance Director position; she said she would research the job requirements and return to the commission with findings so the board could decide whether to create the position. The minutes later refer to the HR director as 'Theresa Bailey'; the record contains inconsistent name references for the HR director.
The commission gave direction to HR to research and report; no formal creation of a Finance Director position or appointment occurred at the Nov. 1 called meeting.
