Three members of the public addressed the Board during public comment on Aug. 12.
Daryl Long told commissioners there are currently no senior citizen shelters in Whitfield County and urged the Board to consider the needs of older residents. Sandra Ellis addressed the Board about zoning changes in the Carbondale area, and Madeline Smith raised concerns about recent county property tax assessments. The Board did not take immediate, recorded action in response to these comments during the meeting.
