Tift County appoints county clerk as voting delegate for Georgia Opioid Settlement advisory elections

County Clerk Miriam Jordan told the board that the Association County Commissioners of Georgia requested that each county appoint a voting delegate; the regional meeting to consider candidates is March 26, 2024 in Colquitt County. Commissioner Melissa Hughes moved to appoint Jordan as the county's voting delegate; Commissioner Paul Webb seconded and the motion carried 6-0.
The appointment authorizes the county clerk to cast the county's vote at the regional meeting and participate in the advisory-council selection process as prescribed by ACCG and the settlement advisory procedures.
