Tift County board approves alcohol license for new ALDI at 1805 US Hwy 82 W

County Clerk Miriam Jordan told the board the applicant requested a Retail Malt Beverage Package and Retail Wine Package license and that the sheriff had reviewed the application and recommended approval. Commissioner Paul Webb moved to approve the license; Commissioner Melissa Hughes seconded and the motion carried 6-0.
Commissioners Donnie Hester and Paul Webb offered closing comments thanking attendees and expressing appreciation that ALDI chose Tifton for a location. Any operational conditions or final license paperwork will be handled by county licensing staff and the sheriff's office.
