Board to consider appointing Filiberto Hernandez to fill Tift County Board of Health term

County Clerk Miriam Jordan told the board April 2 that Charlotte Bedell is no longer able to serve on the Tift County Board of Health. Dr. Raymond Moreno, a current Board of Health member, asked the commissioners to consider appointing Filiberto Hernandez to fill the unexpired term, which runs through Dec. 31, 2028.
The board indicated it would place the appointment on the April 8 regular meeting agenda for formal consideration. No appointment was made at the workshop.
If approved at the regular session, Hernandez would serve the remainder of the term through the end of 2028.
