Tift County approves vehicle purchase, contracts and fee amendment in consent agenda

The Tift County Board of Commissioners approved a multi-item consent agenda during its March 11 meeting that covered equipment purchases, contract and professional-service selections, easements and an amendment to environmental health fees.
Items approved include the purchase of a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 from Woody Folsom Auto Group for $53,387 to be paid from interest earned on ARPA funds; Resolution No. 2024-04, an amendment to the schedule of fees for Environmental Health Services; Georgia Power easements for EB Hamilton and the Pickleball Project; an addendum to the Watkins & Associates agreement for the Red Oak Bridge Project to be paid from SPLOST VI; purchase of a rotary mowing head for the public works Energreen mower for $18,268.25 funded from T-SPLOST; and selection of McCall and Associates for architectural services related to courthouse renovation and associated buildings.
Also approved as part of the consent agenda was a Retail Malt Beverage Package and Retail Wine Package license for Nizarali Jafarali, Tifton 2509, Inc., located at 2509 Main Street, Tifton. Commissioner Greg Wood moved to approve the consent agenda; Commissioner Melissa Hughes seconded and the motion carried 6-0.
